I'm thrilled to announce that I'm the new official spokesmodel for John Godwin's KMAI kickboxing program.  I love my kickboxing classes and am thrilled to share my passion with others!  It's a fun way to keep fit and simultaneously learn self-defense!

Music Icons Levert & Rock N Roll Hall of Famers' Ojays

                                               

Pleased to be a featured model on the "What A Woman" music video by international music stars the O'Jays and Levert II.  It's no suprise that their music is so very popular, as it is very inspirational!  The photo above is a recent Levert II promotional photo of me holding their cd titled "Dedication".  It's a great cd with sensational ballads and plenty of groovy uptempo songs too!

1st Day of Summer: Scorching Hot In The NE!

The first day of summer will bring a scorcher to the Northeastern quarter of the US.  With a widespread sweltering swath of highs in the nineties combined with very high dewpoints, heat indices (how it feels to your exposed skin) will range in excess of 100+ degrees in some areas.  High heat and humidity levels are also expected to be widespread in the Northeast on Thursday as well. 

So how can we best beat the heat?  Drink plenty of water; wear light-weight/light-colored and loose-fitting clothing; restrict outdoor activity, especially from 10am - 4pm (typically the hottest daytime hours).  Also, please be sure to check on elderly neighbors.

Hanging Out In Atlantic City....

Spent some time in Atlantic City, NJ this week and I actually won a little something playing roulette :-)  Here's a photo that was taken yesterday in the Tropicana...BTW, my next spokesmodel gig is on June 1st.  Details will be posted on Twitter :-)

January's Wrap Up...Great Month :-)

Wow, January flew by so quickly, but it was an exciting ride. In the tri-state area, we had a weather roller coaster ride with plenty of rainfall, a wintry mix winter storm and a wrap up of unseasonably mild temps in the 60s. As for me, January was a great ride as well with a great showroom model gig in Florida, a bit of TV freelancing, a bit of commissioned art work and wrapping up the month with the debut of the O'Jays and Levert music video. The photo to the left is a still image from the music video.  I'm a lucky girl...Life's good :-) BTW,Thanks so very much for your e-mails. I'll be certain to reply to all e-mails sent this week within the next few days.  I'm doing less blogging these days and more tweeting :-)

Hazardous NE Driving Conditions Ahead

A fast-moving Low pressure system will bring hazardous road conditions in the NE overnight Friday through Saturday. This photo, courtesy of AccuWeather.com, gives a good overview of potential trouble spots. Wintry mix conditions of snow/sleet and freezing rain transitioning to rain will likely create a slippery glaze of ice that's challenging for vehicles. Cities with the highest potential for glaze include Washington DC, Baltimore, Wilmington and Philadelphia.  Most of the snowfall this weekend will be north and west of I-95.

Great Start To The New Year...

It was a great start to 2012, with a week long spokesmodel gig in Melbourne, FL. I spent most of the time at Cocoa Beach and had a blast. Since then I've been keeping busy painting and doing a bit of freelance forecasting. More spokesmodel work is ahead in the next couple of months and I'm looking forward to my debut in a music video soon...
